When exploring and observing the local coast I’m often surprised by the interesting patterns, form and texture that can appear from absolutely nowhere. This photo being a good example.
The low tide pebbled beach appears black like volcanic sand – simply from the tide being drawn out, a long exposure and the failing light. I may have taken many photos in this instance but I’ve found it’s the best way to find nature’s little gifts that occasionally make an appearance where tidal water is involved.
Nature’s gift in this case was also two wet wellies to squeak back to the car in.
